That is good to know about the figs, I have some other varieties now that are really tasty and yes I am still growing tomatoes, I lost about 30 loaded tomato plants during the freeze, started few varieties after that.

Very busy lately with cutting and planting the garden again, finally is starting to look better.

I'm so sorry about your tomatoes! I know how much you love them. What varieties of figs do you have now? My large dragon fruit died in the freeze, and maybe my huge bleeding heart vine.

The pink cane begonia you gave me got huge, but it rained so much here last summer that even though it was under an eave, it got too wet and almost died. I saved most of it, though.

I think of you every time the figs start leafing out. The Settler's fig is doing well, and I'm about to prune it and the Marseilles VS seems to be struggling a bit last year, but it was so hot and wet. It just didn't grow much at all, and only put out three figs. Everybody loves my fig trees, and everyone who comes here comments on them.

So good to hear from you. I'm trying to post here more to bring this forum back to life a little, although I know most of we oldies will never come back.

Deb, I have a white Marseilles and a Violette de Bordeaux , all the figs are doing great. I planted different begonias around the Brogdon avocado , they survived the freeze and are coming back from the roots.

About the forum, things changed all the time. Some people left or stop posting for different reasons, I hope that you succeed and bring it back to life.
