Unnamed, noid or favorite seedlings 2026
This is the last post for the daylily alphabet 2026. Show us your noids, unnamed of favorite seedling.
Now we wait til Kay and Kate post their early blooms. Then the rest of us add to the show a bit later. This has been fun again this season….come on spring!
I have been told this is a Goldner seedling, it resembles Jan Zoo. It is a very prolific late season bloomer.
This is one of Debra’s unregistered seedlings. It has done well here. This is Chance Encounter X Never Been Kissed.

5 months agoThis seedling was sent as a bonus with the label 'Orange Stripe'. We don't know if it is a dip or tet, but we treated it like a dip and got seeds from it as a pollen parent.
This is our favorite Noid. We bought it without a name early in our daylily journey. It is gorgeous in a clump. Someone on the forum suggested it might be Opera Elegance. We finally tracked down that daylily and it did bloom last year, but it is too early to make a judgment. Whatever it is, it will stay in the garden.
We went to Sandy and Mike Holmes' garden several years ago and they were selling clumps of daylilies that they were not keeping. We selected this tall red seedling. We don't know the parentage, but we bet it has either Tet. Rose F. Kennedy or Tet. Emerald Starburst in it.
This is one of our newest noids. It was supposed to be Autumn Lavender.

Nancy, I like Faux Bass Gibson and Autumn Lavender.
Here's a couple of mine that weren't in the last 2 categories.
These first 2 are Laura Harwood x my unregistered seedling First Light. Neither has enough buds to be registered but I really like them.
South Seas x Primal Scream. Not brand new but only 2 years old. Blooms amazingly well, large flower.
Bombay Silk x Vintage Wine 2 [# 1 was in the possible to register category- this may shift to there!]
VT Rose Rosy x North Wind Dancer reverse bi-tone, 15-28 buds. May end up in the to be registered list.
VT Rose Rosy x North Wind Dancer Scarlet red. Not enough buds.
VT Rose Rosy x North Wind Dancer apricot rose, color varies between these 2 pics. Great bud count.
Wind Frills x VT Rose Rosy, still too new but good stats so far.

Sherry - The orange NOID is a beautiful late season bloomer!
Nan - I've always liked that orange-edged NOID!
I've shown most of my favorite seedlings under the letter posts.
Destined to See X Green Mystique - I have two clumps of this light yellow cream seedling. One had about 20 buds per scape here, and the other had a low bud count. It does not multiply as well here as in Nashville. In past years this dormant has gotten bud counts in the 30s-40s. One rainy season it had 5-6 way branching.
Buddy's Victoria Jade X Skin of My Teeth makes a pretty clump. This evergreen does not multiply as well here as in Nashville. In its first year here, it only had about 8 buds per scape. In Nashville, some scapes got 16 buds. We'll see how it does this year.
