Help: Deer-Resistant Evergreen Screen for Wooded Edge (Zone 6b)

last month
last modified: last month

I’m looking for ideas to improve the back edge of my yard where the lawn meets a wooded area (Zone 6b NY USA, west-facing, about 50–60 ft long, heavy deer). I'd like a low-maintenance, natural-looking evergreen screen (8+ ft, faster coverage preferred) to help block a future solar farm behind the woods. I’m not interested in flower beds and already have Green Giant arborvitae, so looking for other deer-resistant options.

I’m also open to extending plantings into the overgrown wooded area if that would improve screening, including adding some evergreens within the woods for depth. Looking for practical suggestions on plant choices and layout. Thank you!
