I do not have Georgia experience but I would give her a try. Spring bloomers can do well in less sun than repeat bloomers. Do give her at least 3 years. Some of these large ones need time to establish well. Good luck.

Like Sheila mentioned once bloomers can do a lot with less sun than repeat bloomers. The issue in Georgia will be the amount of blackspot in the shade. If you spray it will be fine, but you should expect significant blackspot in less than ideal conditions. Without spraying I do not expect any Austin to perform great here in less than 6 hours of direct sun. Alabama and Georgia share similar humidity and heat profile. Thank you both ! I run a garden without any harmful chemicals . I thibk I can manage powdery mildew and black spots with several things - chitosan ogglisaccharide , zerotol HC , trichoderma hazarium and bacillus subtillis 🙂 . I come from a long line of true organic growers from India - so we do have a few tricks without impacting environment .
