new flex space layout

Any ideas, suggestions, or thoughts for our new flex space layout or design? It's a 20x26 area plus back covered storage/porch. I'm limited in size due to our unusual lot shape. I live in Vegas and need to stay within the Spanish/Mediterranean vibe for HOA. 🙏 You guys are amazing at this, and since I'm very new to everything, I’m open to all thoughts. Our bathroom should be ADA-compliant, and the space needs to be able to convert into a workshop, gym, or dinner party area. (can't make it with a full kitchen or room as it is not a dwelling space. 🙏)

what will the space be used for on the regular? a Workshop? Gym?

What sort of workshop, saw dust? The dinner party space is easy, get a folding banquet table and stacking chairs to stack in a corner.

What kind of gym equiment do you use? lots of variables, please be specific.

I would keep all the closets, storage and utilities to the back of your focal point.

Meaning You, the instructor standing/directing in the space between the two windows.

Yoga mats and poufs side by side down the center of the room. How many clients do you need to accomodate at one session? 6?

I'd keep that are empty of decor, just the ceiling treatment, walls and flooring, no decor in the mat area.

Do you have a view out of the two windows?

You'll need a greeting area near the door that could also be used as a buffet/sideboard for dinner parties.

You'll also need a good self serving storage area for mats, towels, etc.

the drawing is difficult to decipher, it is upside down and the measurements aren't coming across very distinct. Is it just an empty space now, what is the ceiling, wall and flooring material? any photos of the main room available to post?

look online at Pinterest for yoga studio ideas.

great that you'll have a bit of a vaulted ceiling. I especially love a Japandi style.

natural, neutral, soft. Calming and visually interesting for your line of work.

The lighting will be what makes or breaks the whole feel of the space.

So many ideas and options, especially if you are starting from scratch. Good Luck!

Share when you have it finished.

I do not ever understand flex spaces they either have a purpose or they are not needed . Japndi and Spanish not working in my head.

It would be hugely helpful to see to scale floor plan of the whole home . I actually think the space is huge and awkward to work with . Why does the bathroom need to be ADA and of course if that is a must then so are all the doorways etc. Do you teach yoga , huge difference between yoga and a gym. Please do a to scale floor plan of the whole home and additions then we can offer real help.

Sorry, it's confusing. It is a large space (20x26), and I teach yoga and do birthing classes for couples. I also offer virtual coaching, which could take place in that space. It will probably be more open, and I can bring things in and out as needed. The bathroom needs to be ADA-compliant, and the doors are wide enough for entry. The Mediterranean influence really inspires me. I'm not sure how to incorporate this other than with tilework and maybe color, and I plan to install lower cabinets on either side of the sink. I don't want it to look too modern, so I need to figure out how to balance it. We might also use the space as a casita for family when they're in town.
