La Cornue Range Product Review

last month

We purchased a new La Cornue range this year — a very significant investment and a product we expected would hold up beautifully under normal everyday use.

Unfortunately, the stainless steel surface beneath the cast iron grates has become scratched simply from the grates resting on and being lifted during regular cooking and cleaning. These are not scratches caused by misuse or harsh treatment; they are occurring in normal-use areas from the factory grates themselves.

After reaching out through our kitchen designer, the company declined to offer a solution beyond recommending cleaning products. While the cleaners do a nice job polishing the stove, they do not address the scratching issue at all.

What is most disappointing is not only how easily the surface scratches, but the lack of meaningful support or acknowledgment regarding the problem. At this price point, buyers reasonably expect better durability and customer care.

I have never written a negative review before, but I think potential buyers should be aware that the stainless surface can scratch very easily from ordinary use with the included grates
