Songwriter has been a favorite a long time. Woman in Red looks good. Intelligent Design made a good picture. I have had several to bloom but the cool mornings keep them from opening well. Rainbow High is gorgeous!

Thank you, Kate. These cool mornings are murder on opening, no doubt. Kara Louise looked lovely tonight when I went back out at 6:30. Just sloooow opening. Rainbow High is a favorite but refused to bloom at all the last two years so I was happy to see it bloom this year.

Kay: These are very pretty group. Reds always stand out in the garden. Our temps here are cool here in the mornings but typically we get back into the 60's or higher by midday. I'm hosting a family barbecue today and of course it is raining lightly this morning. Hoping it passes quickly.

Have a great weekend and Happy Mothers Day to all.

Thank you, Julia. The rains and cool mornings have set back opening and prettier bloom but we will wish for the cool soon as usual. I hope you barbecue turns out rain free.

I love those Hanson reds! Song Writer is such a pretty one. I'm glad your friend replaced that one for you!

Diver Down and Mint Octopus are both very pretty! I like the Iris too!

It has been quite cool here; 3 scapes of my Belle Isle Sentry started blooming a month early [May 2] and the blooms are pathetic due to how cool it is. Not worth a picture. I'm glad the rest of the clump will be on regular time.

Thank you, Debra and Brad. Those reds are favorites, Debra and Brad, those cool mornings are stinkers and wreck blooms, that is for sure.

Here, Song Writer's early blooms were always splotchy. Yours looks good. Irises are stellar this year! Don't know why, as most things are, at best, so-so.

Thank you Mantis, Some plants do better in one area than another and it is frustrating. I have noticed that colors seem to be alike from one area to another than was the case a few years ago. I agree. this has been an exceptional year for iris.
