I think you want a larger mirror that brings in some of the finish of the sideboard into the frame to anchor the wall.

The china cabinet and sidebaord are dining room pieces. Is there the table near by? Not lovin' the two so close together and I think the sideboard could be repurposed.

If you like minimalism; remove the chairs and throws along with the red flowers. That will focus the eye on the mirror, and give it someplace to rest.
