Would not work for me. Too big and area, will be cold. How will you clean behind the tub? Why would you want a tub in a shower enclosure?

looks like good waterproofing, but you'll still have condensation on the sky lights.

Do you have a housekeeper? It's not too late to add a ledge on the showerhead side. Your niche is kind of high for the tub.

I don't see anything positive with the tub-in-shower layout, but you must like it or you wouldn't have designed it and started building it.

Doesn't look like your drawing is to scale. Just 36" wide for the toilet room? Mine is 43.5" wide and I wouldn't want it much narrower, specially if ageing in place.

I would add a fan just outside the shower and also keep the one shown in the toilet space. Two different uses and you definitely want one closer to the steam/moisture.

No, that will be cold, moldy, and impossible to clean. Redguar is the badge of the low end know nothing tile guy, and that is no exception. It's going to leak and mold. It isn't even taped properly, and I shudder to see the drain and curb area.

It's roughed in and a bit late to start asking. But often advice given is make sure your drain is right. That is a lot of floor surface and if it does not drain right, that's an issue. Make sure your windows are outdoor rated- often indoor rated windows aren't up to the task of a high moisture area. Make sure you have a good fan/venting situation going on. With the tub- either it needs to be flush on the wall and not freestanding, or given a goodly amount of clearance behind to allow for cleaning. Having a freestanding tub too close to the wall can be a pain to clean behind. Having a detachable shower head on a hose can be helpful to help wash the wetroom as it's needed.

I have no clue why anyone would want to have to wipe down a tub every time you have a shower so that whole idea is just weird I do agree a bit late to ask now that it is pretty much done. The tub looks too large for the space and no way to clean properly either .

Get rid of the ”designer” who designed that and also get rid of the jackleg handyman creating a mold farm.

A couple thoughts:

- Is it possible to flip-flop the whole thng /place the tub towards the back? The reason I suggest this: As shown, one partner will have to walk arooouunnnddd the bed to reach the bathroom door -- and it'll be more noisy for the sleeper nearer the bathroom. It'll throw light on that sleeper too. If you could flip-flop the whole thing, the bathroom door'd be straight ahead of the entry door. More direct. Better lay-out.

- A single door would be superior to the duplicate door you're showing. Two doors require two hands to open, which isn't always convenient, and the light switch'll be hidden behind one door.

- Consider a smaller tub. Unless you're very tall, you'll "slip down" in the tub. A deeper tub is wonderful, but a larger footprint is not useful.

- Where do you see your shower towels hanging?

- Think twice about the toilet-in-a-closet. They just complicate things.

Option A is basically what I have now, would getting rid of the bath tub make more sense? (Option B)

I just finished a remodel with a wetroom, skylight as well. I have been using the wetroom for about 10 days and absolutely love it. People here were all doom and gloom about how cold it would be. I was super nervous the first few days I used it as I was waiting for the chill to settle in. It hasn’t, it is just fabulous. The skylight makes it magical.

Hard to see the tub, I know, but it is a 30’x60”. I have not had to wipe down the tub after my shower, it is out of the spray. The dimensions of the wetroom is 9 feet wide by 5.5 feet deep, so the floor area of the shower portion is 5.5feet by 6 feet, 2 shower heads and a bench fit nicely.

The tub on your original plan has it alongside the shower portion, in that layout I can see the tub getting wet and ending up with soapy overspray that would need to be rinsed or wiped down. If you do like I did it may work out better for you, Make it deep enough for a 60 inch tub to one side and the shower on the other, then you wont have a wet tub every time you shower.

Looking at your plan, I will say you may need to look into the closet layout. It shows the closet at 48 inches wide with the door centered. Your hanging space is 24” so I would shift the door to one side. You will end up with a 24” walkway which is narrow but probably your best option, unless you can make the closet wider.

Took a pic of my tub right after I showered, there is some condensation on the side but that’s it.

I think the one BIG difference is that your layout the human blocks all the spray that would hit the tub and the depth is such that it would be harder to have the shower wet down the tub. it also appears you have managed drainage quite well. the OP's config has the showerhead parallel to the tub. That tub is going to get much wetter with every shower.

@vacaytime how do you ever clean around that tub. especially the back and right side which appears blocked by a built in bench.

I have one of those cleaning tools that I think is made for the inside of a car windshield. I just spray with foaming cleanser, wipe with the tool and then rinse with the handheld. Not too terriible. There is about an 8 inch space to the side of the bench.
