what does it smell like when you crush the leaves/

It looks like Dog fennel (Eupatorium capillifolium)

It doesn't any peculiar smell, it just smells like grass.

It does look like chamomile, but I'd also expect a smell to the foliage. Wait a couple weeks and see if you get the small white daisy flowers
