Doesn't look weird to me at all. You just need to get window treatments, artwork, etc.

In the old days, like 1950s maybe, they made headboards that contained sliding doors, shelves, or little cabinets, thereby obviating the need for a separate nightstand if there wasn't room. Some version of this may still exist.

If it were me, I’d make it work - i’d hang curtain panels the color of the wall on either side of both windows and float the bedside tables in front with nice chunky lamps (don’t get too small bedside lamps) - similar to what @mer03 shows

Yes, curtain panels and pull the nightstands out from the window and bed a little. This is the only picture I have of ours, without the bed all made up and my dogs sleeping, lol!

once the window treatments are in and Lamps on the tables closet to the bed, it will fill out.

You have a lot of space there. I would take advantage of that space by going larger and instead of "nightstands" do chests.

I agree with everyone else that once you add window treatments, it will be fine. A king bed is large and you're better off keeping the nightstands in proportion to the bed as opposed to going too small. As suggested, keep your lamps on the larger side as well.

With a king size bed I would NEVER use a nightstand/chest less than 36" and you can go larger.

I would be cautious about making windows hard to open with big furniture.

You might compare the view looking at the bed vs. view looking from the bed. How much time spent at each viewpoint? Could that alter spending priorities?
