I prefer art to a mirror in anentry , what is your mirror reflecting? The light in no way works with the console table and decor and IMO the light needs to be large , still close to the ceiling but bigger.Move the books from that console you have 1/2 filled bookshelves move them there. You will need to paint the sidelights along with the door , they are one unit . The tile is staying so a much more interesting runner not so close in color to the floor.Little doodads with no purpose on that console are not good , I like the lamp , maybe just a nice colored bowl used for keys or an orchid plant that you replace when it stops blooming.. Can we see the room next to this entry . IMO an entry should say something about the style of the rest of the house .

Can the pink sticker on the side light be moved? the rug is too big and is not conducive to wiping your shoes when entering. A longer, narrower runner would be better. Too many little things without much relation to each other on the side table. On top the Buddha lamp should stay, add a simple flower arrangement and coordination dish for keys, etc. On the bottom, maybe the patterned item there now, centered, leave rest of shelf bare so guests can leave a handbag, scarf, etc.

center the rug/runner on the door and place at least the front legs of the credenza ON the rug.

The floor tile are fine, a statement rug with some black in it to compliment the light and new door color.

A taller lamp, at least 1/2 way up the mirror. Or lower the mirror a bit.

Is silver your favorite metal? Do a silver or black lamp.

Wow, that looks really good, thanks so much for this! We can't afford to hardwood the entryway, but I think painting the tile a warmer & darker tone to compliment the hardwood might help.

If it’s possible, I agree with DIS regarding a console with less depth.

Assuming you are painting door black, but a big decision is if to also paint the sidelights. Initially leave white and step back. (I’ve always painted for a less broken up feel.)

I think the flooring will disappear with impactful accessorizes. Your rug is not enough to draw the eye and suggest a longer one with some black. If tiles still bother you, it could be a down the road project.

If interested, suggest a less bulky console and add items to suit new feel of your hall. Whether you are adding a mirror or art, don’t place too high.

First of all - it's not bad as it is now but, yes, could be improved. It would be wonderful to be able to continue the flooring in your adjacent room into the foyer but I know that's it's pretty difficult to match existing flooring. Am thinking slate flooring might provide a good contrast to the adjacent flooring. The present console table seems to protrude too much into the room. A more shallow table would be better IMO. I normally agree about using mirrors but it is nice to have a mirror to check yourself out before you leave home.

…just found the website $2,339 - no wonder we like! Now that you know you like a vintage feel and the color combo it may help in you narrow down.

I would be very hesitant to paint the tile. It rarely ends well. Have you considered a product like Floor pops that can be installed over the tile to give you a look like this

@Design Interior South good to know painting floor tile isn't for the weak. I have thought about floor pops, but seeing this rendering makes me want pattern much less!

Also, do you have a source for that light fixture? I REALLY like it.

I like your idea of painting the tile. Consider doing a dark color but maybe not as dark as black.
