You will probably get more specific feedback if you add photos of each of the 4 walls taken straight on. A floor plan with measurements would be a bonus. :)

A nice console with some greenery would breathe some life! A nice simplistic vase for the greenery and maybe a painted landscape with a dark frame or a mirror for the wall. Good noise.

If you like it, who cares if it is trending or not. As you see from @Design Interior South , scale really matters. You don't want just a piece of art floating in the middle of no where. A console beneath it will really anchor the mirror, or whatever else you place there.

I would note, it is FINE to love an accent color, (teal in this case) b.ut beware too much of it, or as any other, as it will morph from accent to dominance and overload, especially when a saturated solid color with no pattern or texture. Look at the fine point details above and the differences between them. Must you have both sconces AND table lamps? No, biut those adds, and take away's are a tutorial : )

If you "loved" the mirror, you'd have hung it before three years passed by? I don't love it, and has nothing to do with dated.

Ask yourself if you need some storage in this spot, SHOW all angles of this room, and beyond this room.

How long is the wall from light switch to opposite end? There are millions of ways to get impact, with scale and proportions considered

I could see a mural on that wall. Maybe a river scene with a weeping willow tree. I like all the other suggestions as well.

I think your mirror is beautiful and would look great above a console or buffet, if you have room on that wall for one.

A glass console is a nice option for a transitional space too.

I vote for art.....and no horizontal surfaces.
