Annie Laurie McDowell images requested

last month

I've been contacted by the Dutch Rose Society requesting a high resolution image of this rose for the cover of their newsletter (which is quite nice, BTW). So far, everyone (including me) they and I have contacted, generate images in lower resolution so they are more quickly and easily uploaded to the Internet. Often, when you encounter uploading issues it's due to the file size being too large, which is precisely what's needed to print a detailed image in a larger size. Might anyone here, please, have those higher resolution images of ALmD they would be willing and able to permit the Dutch Rose Society to print on their cover? One of their members in The Netherlands has written an article about her experiences with the rose there and the Society would like to print a photo of the rose on their cover. If you have higher resolution images of the rose and would like to allow the Society to use one for the cover, please let me know so I can (or you can) email it to them. Thank you! Kim

I hope you find the quality photo Kim. Yours is a lovely rose.

I know this does not have the resolution you need.

Thank you! I emailed you back so you could specify what you wish the photo credit to state.

Kim, I wish I had some high resolution, cover worthy photos of my ALM! She is perfection! I ordered two maidens from Wisconson Roses and a small piece broke off and was rooted before arrival. I kept the own root plant for myself and my tiny garden and gifted the strong grafted ones to friends. We all feel so fortunate to grow your amazing rose! My tiny own root plant is slowly and steadily building up year after year, and I still remove half the buds from each flush, but I don’t yet have any grand shots of ALM in what will be her mature glory. Someday I will and will post them. In the meantime, ALM absolutely deserves to be a cover girl. She’s ethereal! Congratulations and all the best finding high resolution pictures!! 👏👏👏 Carol

Sheila, maybe not the required resolution, but that photo makes me "feel all the feels," as people say.

Thank you, Carol! How lovely of you! I'm delighted "she's getting out there"! Immortality for a rose depends upon distribution. Where there's a will, there's a way!

I’m happy to see this Rose getting the publicity she deserves, Kim, and hopefully they find one of our photos to be the right one for the newsletter cover.
