I use Top Knobs almost exclusively. For the quality, size assortment finishes all.

Top Knobs "Ascendra" Is nearly identical to the Lintel, is beautiful and I have used it many times, in many finishes.

I would return them. I would not reorder from Amazon. "Chipped" sounds very much like a quality issue.

Return to Amazon they will deal with the vendors . I am curious to see these chips since these are metal. My assumption would be quality from Amerock and Amazon will deal with that and give you your refund.. I do agree not great place to get pulls from anyway.. I actually use Lee Valley for pulls , good prices , often free delivery and returns.

Would return them and get your money back. Then you can go to a physical store and select your own hardware from in stock. That way you can be assured that the hardware you are getting is undamaged.

The only "In Stock" these days? The big box......and not much of it is any better than the Amerock already failed.

Thanks, Norwood Architects. I'm not aware of any physical store that carries in-stock hardware other than the big box stores. I need mostly larger pulls, in the 10" range, and am guessing stores don't "stock" that. But maybe I'm wrong.

The physical store I have, is a great plumbing showroom and they have a room in the back with floor to ceiling hardware display samples boards from dozens of companies, in all price ranges. They don't have inventory, but they will order and also take care of any issues if there is a problem with the quality of the order.

Being able to see and touch a large variety of sample in one place is important, so I like to support local independent stores if possible, and I'm willing to pay a bit more to be able to do that.

Another vote for top knobs - we had to order a lot of different hardware for a build and everything came in perfect, hardware can be spendy but you (usually) just do it once

We do not use AMEROCK. They are not well made. Not only that sometimes Amazon orders from second hand sellers so it really can be a guessing game ordering from them. We use Top Knobs. and rarely have the need to venture to other brands.

Several companies make the style of the Lintel pull or very close to it. Top Knobs, Atlas and if you're looking for more budget friendly I would even do Jeffrey Alexander over Amerock.

Amazon is full of seconds sellers. Like most online sellers. Period. Always work with a local kitchen and bath dealer. For everything.

Not sure if you can access,but Lee Valley used to have a gigantic stock of handles /pulls in various qualities.
At one time they even had coffin handles.
I cherish my old hardware and woodworking catalogues.
Patricia Colwell will be familiar with the company.
I have ordered from them for 40 years,and everything was as advertised and promptly sent.

If the hardware was shipped from multiple sources and all had the same issue it is a product run issue, I would send it back and pick something else.

I’d return the whole lot (I’d also be leery of a ”set” of handles from different sources - potential differences in finish or materials that may not be immediately apparent)

I’ll second or third the rec for Top Knobs: I’ve used them in one kitchen remdel and one entire house build. Very nice quality, IIRC, free samples, fast shipping.

I ordered and returned many samples from various sources, and visited as many showrooms as possible (Rejuvenation, Restoration Hardware, Studio 41, my cabinet maker, a place at the Merchandise Mart.) I got lucky and found a seller with what amounts to a mobile showroom - a truck with dozens of samples of pulls, doorknobs, and other hardware. It's a long shot but if you happen to be in the Chicago area I can send his info. Otherwise I agree with the others who recommend returning what you got to Amazon and finding another source like Top Knobs.

Return them all to Amazon.

You can contact Amerock with photos to ask about the defects if you are set on those pulls. They are one of the largest makers of cabinet hardware. They may already be aware of an unusual number of defects on this item. Otherwise, choose a different cabinet pull from another manufacturer.

Return all of them . Order directly from amerrock or one of their dealers...not amazon. Myknobs.com is fine. Of course, warrranty is important. AI:

You can order straight from china w/AliExpress. YOu can't beat the prices (and it's the exact same hardware that sellers here use).

I've ordered many, many items off of AliExpress, including my hardware. there are hundreds of sellers there. just go to the site and type in Kitchen Cabinet hardware, and try and filter from there.

No....over ten years it's 63.80 of looks, longevity enjoyment per year. Yes. 63 dollars and eighty three cents. For a thing you will touch, yank, pull, wipe down..... many thousands of times. I think I taste sawdust.......lol
