Bear with my long explanation on why this song always reminds me of summer.

Summer of 1969. I had just turned 7 in April. My sister and brother, 17 and 15, were heading to Rockaway beach, with a bunch of friends. (My mother must have obliged them to take me with them, LOL.) We had to take the train to the bus. My memory is

everyone waiting for the bus, was a group of teenagers with transistor radios, all tuned to the same station playing this song. They were all dancing and having a great time. I loved it!
