Recent Random Pics

For a few days, there were sufficient clouds that picture taking was possible, but now with temps rising even more and bright frying sun, there are fewer opportunities. Here are some from recent processing.

Joe Burrow

Creature of the Night has been sturdy in a big clump.

Mama Drama

Arnold's Daughter

Partygirl Panties. Hard to photograph in sun

Sea Shanty. A bit on the small side.

The Food Channel has a soft focus from low light.

Memphis in the estate garden. I arrived to discover that the flowers had been sprayed. This is the sort of thing one has to endure at the estate. So obsessed with clean foliage.

Paradise Bar and Grill, not usually that well budded, has incredible branching this year. I got a better shot a later day (in less sun).

Absolute Treasure has looked wonderful.

Hanson's Fancy Panties shot up this year.

Vampire Fish looked good, but I prefer flowers less upfacing.

Does anyone know the name of this one? Not a fast grower. I thought a Stamile. It's INIMITABLE.

And Debra must know the name of this. She did, it's Pink Lemonade Party.

Hanson's Tactical Deception.

White's Painted Demon.

Big Bird

Well, back to processing. I don't think there will be many clouds tomorrow.

Creature of the Night makes a good clump. I like the color on Paradise Bar and Grill. Absolute Treasure is a nice one-mine bloomed well, too. Stay safe in the heat.

Hanson has a rather strange fascination with women's underwear and daylilies. I don't get the connection.........That Memphis is a stunner in its round faced, frilly edged perfection.....Although I'm not into UF's or purples, I've looked more then once at Creature of the Night. Is the form consistent in it's symmetry or do petals go every which way? Great looking clump shot on your part........Still liking the red (Joe Burrow) against that brick wall.............Maryl

Quite a large grouping of blooms. What do you mean Memphis got sprayed? It doesn't look like it damaged the blooms. Hanson does have some odd names for his intros.

Julia, not so apparent on Memphis, but all of the blooms in one area were wet and most had water spots damage. Later I met a worker who was watering plants (after a downpour the evening of the night before). These people just do things automatically (following orders).

Maryl, his doll collection (spread through the garden) is a trifle creepy. Creature of the Night would be much too tall for you. It can lean in bad weather (sturdier once it forms clump). Form is consistent.

Debra may know the name of the pink. It's possibly Pink Lemonade Party, which I replaced last fall. It's amazing how many pinks can resemble each other, so I can't be sure. My first thought was PLP. Here's my pic from its cool night ffo - the blooms are not as round and full as yours because of the cool temps.

This is wonderful post full of beautiful clumps. Arnold's Daughter is my top favorite, but they're all winners!

Yes, it's PInk Lemonade P. I thought you would know it.

The other unknown with the greenish tint is Inimitable.

Very nice group. I found a lot to really like, as usual. Creature of the Night is an interesting one. The Food Channel is very pretty. I like the colors of Hansen's Tactical Deception. White's Painted Demon is a colorful one that I like. Big Bird is a nice yellow. How tall is it? Pink Lemonade is a pretty pink. Nice post, Mantis.

You and Debra just reminded me of how pretty Pink Lemonade Party was. I grew it for a few years and it just wasn't that vigorous for me. But it sure is pretty.......Thanks for the personalization of your comment on Creature of the Night. You generally know what I like and what works for me. Overly tall is not my thing and splaying certainly isn't............Maryl

Big Bird is quite tall; low 30s. Pink Lemonade Party didn't flourish here, but some still left. The Food Channel is an interesting color; good grower. Tactical Deception very unusual smoky color that can vary.

Lots of great photos, but the post really starts with a bang. The first three are fantastic! Pink Lemonade Party is also great.
