You already have wall decor, maybe add something with green, pulling the green outside your windows? My suggestion would be to arrange the wooden taper candleholders in a trianglular arrangement, spread apart a little more, rather than lined up as you have them. Maybe add some tapers , varying heights.

you don't need something on every wall.

Choose a single piece you love or need in the room.

I wouldn't put anything under the mini split AC.

I would position the acrylic table with the mirror and lamp at the end of the table.

put the bird piece on the center of the dining table... the wooden candle holders in another room.

The framed neutral piece on the wall the other two pieces are too dark for the room, find another spot in the home for them.

" - it is not a hotel room to be impersonally decorated". I wish every homeowner would embrace this message!!! I am so over all the ' home decor' piled in retail stores. No one's home should look like another's.

Your art looks like it suits your needs with tweaking as suggested above. Only my impression is the owl looks like it’s swooping down to snatch dinner off your table 😳

I’d switch the two tabletop accessories and remove and the wall ornament. Instead of creating a diversion away from the AC, it’s doing the opposite. Less can be more.

This arrangement seems to be in an odd location/mirror is not working and maybe add a large plant instead.

Try moving the table to the wall below, but may have to raise the art a bit. Your lamp and the large white bowl will create a well balanced, complementary vignette and hopefully there is enough room. If not, try under the green art.

Centre the black or green art on the long wall; use the larger of the two.

Too much art. Were it my room, the only piece I would hang is the one at the end of the dining table. It's soft and has some pink in it. If it fits, put the acrylic table and lamp under it. White bowl on the table to replace the too heavy candle holders. And, for sure, the stuff under the split ductless has to go.

Next purchase for m would be a rug to get some more pink/red into the scheme.

It’s true that art is personal and everyone should get what they like. But since you posted here, you must want advice (or affirmation of your choices).

In my opinion, both pieces under the minisplit should go. Nothing should be there.

The mirror and lamp and table should go and perhaps you could find another piece of art for that spot THAT RELATES TO your abstract beige/tan/brown piece.

As-is, your wall decor seems very random and disjointed because the pieces are all so very different from each other. This room is fairly small so its furnishings should be similar.

Ok changed things up. I am not able to move the table as suggested, too tight. I moved my George Nelson clock and removed other art. It’s a work in progress.

I think we have the same table in a different finish.. In any event, I purchased Room &/Board’s “Aspect” tray in the charcoal finish, have 3 objects on top, centered on my dining table, grounds the 3 objects somewhat..

You have made some improvements. 👍

It is Room and Board table and chairs.

Thought so …. Most of my furniture is from R&B.

Really like that ceramic? , not art glass, right? piece. Btw, there’s no such thing as “too much art”. IMO, you certainly don’t have too much.

Is a vanity table with drawers worth adding to a bedroom if there is already a dresser?

I think it depends on whether the dresser top is turning into a makeup and skincare station. If everything is sitting on top of the dresser, a vanity could make the bedroom feel more organized.

A vanity gives makeup, brushes, skincare, jewelry, and small items their own dedicated place. Drawers are useful because they hide little things that would otherwise make the surface look messy.

The downside is space. In a small bedroom, another piece of furniture can make the room feel crowded. A slim vanity might work better than a large one, especially if it can double as a small desk or getting-ready spot.

Would you add a vanity to your bedroom, or would you keep using the dresser top? What setup keeps small items under control?
