Romabio Limewash. The color you selected for your German Mortar Schmear was far too yellow in color. Select something more neutral.

You have to determine how much of the original brick you want to show through.

Or you can apply it so that none of the original brick shows through.

Staining brick is the better choice, white lime wash.

Sorry but if that is someones idea of German shmear do not let them touch another thing on that. house This is IMO not an update but at least something like this would help blend near match brick to your brick you have and still look okay

I would go with a dark color on the doorway brick, something to compliment the existing brick color, even a deep dark burgundy like SW Polished Mahogany.
