Fifty years ago today (1976) I lived within walking distance of Inwood Hill Park in Manhattan NYC. I could walk the park paths and get to one of the highest and best views of the Hudson River where the tall ships were to be seen. I lugged a large, large cooler of beer, hero sandwiches, picnic blankets and an Asahi Pentax SLR to the lookout point – I don’t remember much else.
