It's an attractive house. What's tired is the roof, not the paint color combination.

Choose a new roof first, then paint. Or if you really, really want some particular paint color, choose that first, then the roof color.

Can you wait until after the roof is replaced, as you’ll have a better sense by testing different paint colors. In the meantime, suggest looking for combinations on line or in your neighbourhood.

I would put on a charcoal roof. I like the colors of the door and shutters now, however if you must change them, I would paint them a navy blue.

What a lovely house! Congratulations. I would avoid any wimpy / baby blues. Perhaps dark red shutters with an olive green door, or dark tan shutters with a deeper color door. I think that light, pastel colors look cartoonish on a large, lovely house.

I might go with Navy, but any strong color will look good. Next time you mulch, get undyed mulch --- it's much more natural-looking than that red.

Black roof and black shutters is a great look too.

Very dark green is traditional for old NE colonial homes and a black roof with a bit of very dark green it would look great. If you want shutters wood, functional shutters would look best in that dark green. Match garage door color to house color - a warm white.
