You must of had the same contractor as my friend! Her electrician swore there was nothing else, so she kept showing him photos of my kitchen with slim tape light and repeating "this is what I want", over and over. She finally got what she wanted.

You want LED tape lights.

The tape light also needs to go at the front of the upper cabinet.

Your contractor and electrician are both lazy and/or incompetent!
