Have no idea what nightstand would work best in the room. Can't ask wife because she has Alzheimer's. Only items in room are a gold leaf chandelier and off white Armoire. White on ceiling is wallpaper border I just removed. Nightstand height max would be 32".

I wouldn't do an off white night stand with that bed. The Armoire is fine to stand alone, but your 2nd option shown is beautiful.

Found another walnut nightstand by Hooker, but costs as much as bed.
