A wallpaper where the background color matches the wall color could help it look purposeful - it’s personal but i would want paper that was a bit fresher and lighter

Thank you for looking and commenting 🙂. That makes sense to have the background and paint more matching. I love the palm wallpaper though 🙃 it makes me feel like I'm going on holiday. Trying to find a way to make it work, if not, I'll be onto plan B!

I like the palm wallpaper too, but, I am sure thats because its bright, and bright always makes me happy.

Take a photo of the room and 'try some wallpaper patterns on' using the Decorator's Best website.

If you love it, you can use it several ways. All around, top to bottom is a way to make a statement. One wall can work, or feel timid.
Or you can find a happy medium, like I did. I wainscoted 5 feet high and put the wallpaper above. My powder room is extremely narrow (3’) with a 10’ ceiling and is 9’ long. The proportion of the wainscoting was the only tricky part but I added the wallpaper on the ceiling as well. Best room in the house!
