Need some shoe advice!

Wearing this to a fall wedding.

Hard to actually see the colors here, but it is a really dark navy that you really need to look hard to see it isn't black, and a light, champagne gold with some metallic, but not glaringly metallic. Would you lean towards dark or light, champagne color shoes here? And if dark, since you would probably need better light than there will be at the wedding to tell that the dress isn't black, would black shoes be terrible? Or is there another direction I should be taking. I own black satin pumps that would be appropriate in style. Anything else I'd need to buy.

Very comfy. Color is gold, but... like your dress... more of indeterminate light metallic IRL

I ended up getting it, between sales and coupons, for less than $200, so I didn't have much hope when I ordered it. But it fits me better than any of the other zillion dresses I ordered, and was by far the cheapest. When does that ever happen?

I guess I'm off to search for gold-ish shoes.

I would go for lighter colored shoes like the model. I would probably look for soft gold. I've had some luck with some soft silver shoes lately (from Lifestride and Naturalizer).

I'm open to style of shoe. Whatever I find that works. It just needs to be closed toe, as my feet are not fit for display.

Thanks, @mtnrdredux_gw. I actually ordered a pair from Vionic today, one with a little more heel, but the same color. Also a pair from DSW that was so cheap I'm sure they'll cripple me. I spent the day today running around to Macy's, Nordstrom, and Bloomingdale's returning all the reject gowns I'd ordered, and couldn't find one thing in their shoe departments to actually try in person.
