Window finishing on new home build

We had (doug fir) wood/clad windows installed in our new home build. They were to be finished on-site. I had the paint crew put on the first clear coat as quickly as possible to protect the raw wood. They did so from the inside and mostly on parts they could see. I noticed the frame/jamb face against the framing isn't finished as they are installed and can't be accessed. Is this a problem?

I also noticed that there is exposed, uncoated wood on parts of the (casement) window frame when it is opened. I will have our painters apply some kind of finish/sealer from the outside with the windows open to seal it. Do people usually do this?

Advice would be greatly appreciated
