I can't change my INFJ no matter how many years pass. I've heard many times that the test is skewed, but I don't see how? And it absolutely describes me.

I didn’t do the test, though. It’s not my personality to do personality tests. That I know.

I think my attention span is too short.

Mine is in line with how I tested 25-ish years ago when working. I'm not unhappy with that.

My result is the same as it was many years ago when I first took one of these in more depth. When i was in a class in the 90’s we took a shortened version, similar iirc to this one, and I still had the same score. The last letter for me was always right on the borderline score of the other option (J or P). It’s interesting when you can see how the numbers fall on the scale and the more predominant traits.

The most interesting thing I remember learning from it was how I or E or T or F could describe us all to some degree or other. A continuum. More situational. T or F we all do, of course, just may do one more often or initially.

The N or S and P or J are very different in my thoughts anyway. Very different perspectives on life and how to live it. S and N's or P and J's may simply not understand what drives the other, and may have to learn why they are the way they are. (deep thoughts too early in the morning.)

I remember first taking the model assessment at a leadership retreat. We all went through the steps, got the category and then 1) Had to stand up to share our personal result and say if it provided any insights or was off the mark, and then 2) got feedback from others in the room, comments on how much they agreed or disagreed with the category and the person's reactions to it. .

It was an interesting exercise, one done in "public". Brutal for some, humorous for others.

One question I never forgot regarding choose 'mercy or justice' and I chose justice because I thought if we really had justice there'd be no need for mercy... hence, I got an INTJ instead of my desired INTP, haha ... I thought the whole thing was ridiculous at the time (in my defense, I was only 26 ) .

I really came to dislike that Myers Briggs personality assessment that was so popular for a time. It was over used IMO. For a few years it came up at every managers retreat or training I attended. It sometimes worked as an ice breaker when most of the attendees were unknown to each other. It also was a handy way to break a large group into teams. It was pretty obvious that one’s answers were largely affected by the mood the person was in at the time of testing.

Well said. Not everywhere or for everything but it was very much overused. And, as a result, debunked and discredited. Its validity was apparently easily challengable and dismissable by experts in the personality field.

Yes. And there were those ’trouble makers’ 😉 who tried gaming the system by giving opposing answers to the questions that could be recognized as the same question but were same as prior questions but restated with different situations. That meant the questions meant to validate a certain personality type instead showed equal scores - the Jekyll Hyde thing. A risky game to play at some workplace functions to be sure!

INTJ here. Also test as an Enneagram 8 Wing 9. Taken several over the years and always comes back the same.

Lately I done a little research to gain knowledge about the Dunning-Kruger effect. It seems to be epidemic on the internet, if you know what I mean. ;)
