Have you tried Amazon? I have purchased hardware from them before. Was surprised they even carried it.

I did try amazon but either its not the right size or style :(

I thought of doing those tear drop pulls but I'm not sure they would look good.

Have you tried my knobs.com or other online companies that sell hardware. They have a large variety of styles and sizes.

Pullsdirect.com will let you search by finish and by center-to-center measure for cabinet pulls. I've always had good luck there.

Lee Valley Hardware has many choices. Although Canadian they ship to the US.

Sandi, I'm thinking because you said the spaces were just under 6 inches, the space could be in metric. So is the furniture European or Cdn? If so Lee Valley is a Cdn site with metric measurements.

I have seen lots of furniture refinishes on blogs and usually the person fills in the holes and sands smooth before painting. Then she picks what ever hardware she wants to and drills new holes. Sorry this doesn't help you now, but some thing to think about next time.

How about bin pulls? I think they'd look great.

drop pulls would probably look too crowded being close together. could you cover the holes with a back plate then use single knobs/pulls?

That's what I was afraid of, Kim. I'll search for large enough back plates. Thanks for the suggestions :)

. . . and you're obviously 'handy' . . . you may even be able to make something (wood and metal spacers) that wouldn't show when you adhered something interesting to the wood. It's really a great piece!
