OK, did you order this from Etsy? I think it will look good with some green apples or pears ;)

Yes Margo! We looked everywhere and couldn't find one. Thanks, I'll use my green pears.
    Are they still fresh?:))

They are faux, but look totally real!

luvdecorating2, I finally figured out the comment issue I was having. I see posts through my Houzz app, not in browser. But when I delete open screens on Safari, the browser will open and I can see everything. Wish I hadn't told Houzz to only view in app!
Unwantedadvice, glad you figured it out! Maybe you can email Houzz to change it for you.
Unwantedadvice, do you like the new fruit bowl?
luvdecorating2, yes I do like your fruit bowl. It will look nice with the pears. Quick question. If this is your breakfast area, do you have a separate dining room as well? Maybe in this thread it has been mentioned before but I don't remember. Anyway wondered if you and hubby have discussed getting the breakfast set refinished in the future and keeping it, as I do like it and actually really like the finish now. I'm rambling right now so I will stop. :))

Yes we do have a separate dining room. We are going to keep the breakfast set. I think the runner and fruit bowl will pull it together. Thanks!!
I would keep it as well! Nice size for breakfast area and the runner and bowl will be perfectly fine for finishing it off. Are you keeping bronze plaques on wall? I like those. :))

Would you be willing to paint the table? That would give you the contrast you need if you decide to keep the slipcovers.

Thanks unwantedadvice!! I am keeping the bronze plaques, at least for now. I would love to get the personalized plaque from Ballards Margo recommended a good while back, but it will be a while!

Thanks leelee but we decided against painting the table.

Unwantedadvice, here is the plaque again.

If I do say so myself that plaque is such a good idea;))))))

Margo, it is the perfect size, 12" wide and my space is 19" wide. It may have to wait until Christmas as it is a bit pricey! Thanks for finding it!
Yeah, that would make a good gift, put it on your wish list and maybe Santa will bring it;)
    It's already on there!

Please check out new thread, black fruit bowl.

Who could forget this great dilemma? Well, I should say dilemmas as there were sequels ....

Are you sitting in your rocking chair reminiscing this morning, Margo?

LOL- yes, I blame bubbas;) she kicked off the event with Random Houzz this morning. I do miss the old days of Houzz.

Wild and crazy times! Did we grow up and move on, or did we get kicked out of the Houzz? Lol

    Hi Karemore! Missed you too!

LB, I know.....seems like there was a lot of comraderie for a time? Maybe there still is, and we (or I) aren't part of it? Or maybe there just isn't enough joking around going on since we lost our No. 1 jester??

I'm also making a deliberate effort to quit being glued to the iPad - and Houzz - all day long. Such an addiction! Other hobbies are waiting in the wings (which I am still having trouble getting to, for some reason).

I think like all things in life, things change, people move on, new people move in and take over. I am enjoying reminising with these old dilemma's. I do miss the pure joy I got out of Houzz and the fun we all had. It was a good run and maybe who knows we can enjoy Houzz in a new way?? ;)

There's no one like you Margo !! to make us laugh, feel good and get away from life for awhile!!!!

Yeah, I think once you step back and get back to doing other things, you realize how much time you spent with this houzzing.;)

Yes, LB, I remember in the early days of Houzz....you were on late at night just as I was. We are both in Pacific Time Zone, so we kept the candle burning for the Easterners, I guess!

I check on here every so often. Guess what I'm doing again ...... paint brush in hand again :)

    Took a break

Old habits die hard LB! At least you have a paint brush in one hand - one foot in Houzz and one foot in real life?

    I think it's tiring though...

I think I know what you mean. After awhile, you get tired of seeing the same old questions. Maybe slightly reframed, but still the same stuff.

Just a peek now and then doesn't hurt, though - right?

What always bothered me, though, was the alarming number of OP's that would post, then disappear. That felt like such a waste of time and energy to me. I think this was why I felt grateful for people like Margo, and the other characters who acted like the pep squad!

I agree Karemore, Not finding many dilemmas of much interest with wanting to get involved. All the same. Guess that's the nature of this. Maybe we burnt ourselves out :)

Lol I think you may be right, LB!

Well, Margo has started a good thing here. We must dredge up old threads now and then, just so we can wave hello and have a good chin wag:))

    Happy spring to you!

Thinking the same thing. Well........ when you think of it............ it would only have to be Margo. I think she really does miss us. I miss the old Margo. She's the one that made everything so much fun!!

    She's crafty that way;))

OH LB, never doubt that I miss you guys! I miss the old Margo too, dang nabbit what happened to her?

Truth is LB, bubbas dredged up my old thread of Random Houzz this morning which set off this whole chain of events;) Reading some of the old threads make me laugh and put me back in time.

Not crafty Karen, just seems more fun and easy when you let your guard down. I have trouble answering dilemmas these days as I find myself analyzing everything I say and then end up deleting. I use to just say what came to mind, hit the submit button, and then sat back and laughed.

Well then, thanks Bubba for reconnecting us.

Margo, I suggest you go back to your old self. Ignore those that do not understand and take things too personal. Let's all have some fun again! Life is too short. We can't be friends with everyone in this world :)) Blow dust off your shoulder.
