I'm thinking of just painting the backsplash area above granite countertops. I don't want tile (or mirrors, stainless steel, etc) and don't really like the look of the 4-inch granite strip that seems to be the other choice offered here in the rural area where I live. I'll probably do something later behind the stove and there is a window above the sink. Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm guessing there would need to be a sealant along the wall but can't find any information. Thanks!
