Lisa, I agree. My daughters were raised with. a Golden Retriever! We always dressed her for Halloween, usually in their past costumes. She was such a good sport.

But one day, I really looked at her and realized she didn't like it at all.

Last Halloween for Casey. She passed during DD2’s freshman year at Pitt.

She was perfect. Kindergarten to college, this one dog. I often joked that my daughters were to not just raised with her but by her! All the best qualities come from her.😀

My kids were raised with a German Shorthaired Pointer and then a German Shep. Neither of those were any kind of role model. The dog we have now, a mutt, has the best temperment of any dog.
