We just bought our dream home in the desert near Palm Springs. It's new (built in '05) with decidedly spanish/Mediterranean touches. We love the pool/ fountain the previous owner put in and we plastered the rear wall to compliment the fountain. What next. I hate the Cypress trees but we may need them for privacy as there is building going on the empty lot behind us. I want to pull them out and go with something native, palo verde or mesquite. Not sure if I have enough area, the space behind the fountain is about 28". Any ideas?
