Grout color

I am using this exact tile for my backsplash thanks to you! What color is the grout? Do I just ask for "gray" or is there a specific name? Thank you so much.

Oh, and, sanded or non sanded?

You will need to select the color in your space. Your tile installer should be able to provide samples for you. Since this is a natural stone, the color can vary. And, the grout color I used may look different in the lighting in your kitchen. For sanded vs. non-sanded, we typically use non-sanded in installations like this, but again - consult with your tile installer.

It was in the grey family, and we opted to go a little darker rather than lighter.

Ok thanks. I'm sure it will turn out great.

Looks beautiful. Are these 1x3? What company made these? Having difficulty locating that size. Thanks.

The tile can be purchased from www.seattletile.com: 1x3 statuary white herringbone, 55 HERR STAT 12x12 polished. Ask for Sarabeth.

Thank you for your message. Yes Carrara Venato 1x3" Herringbone would give you a very similar look. You can see an opened box in the picture attached.

Thank you so much. I ordered it from you and I'm very excited!

What's the best adhesive for these tiles? Thinset? Mastic? I'm DIYing this for the first time and would love any advice you can give me.

This is a picture of the 1x3" Venato Polished. Works really well as a backsplash in Polished or Honed. Price for 2015 is $11.45SF: http://www.thebuilderdepot.com/cvh1x3herb.html

Are you worried about staining of the marble from oil splattering? Has this been an issue for you? I understand that marble has to be sealed yearly. Not sure how that affects the grout. Thank you in advance for your input.

That is something to consider if you cook a lot of greasy food.
