Need help designing my kitchen and dining areas!

I recently purchased a new house and I need help designing it. I prefer colors like light greens, blues, or light browns. Sorry for the bad quality pictures, I took it off the online listing.
I would also appreciate ideas for granite and backsplash for the kitchen!
1st: Formal Dining
2nd: Kitchen view from back
3rd: Kitchen view from front
4th: Breakfast area type dining room

I will take all ideas. I would prefer not to paint/stain wood trim, paint/stain cabinets, and replace tile/carpet, but I will for sure consider it. All the furniture shown is from the previous homeowner, I will be buying brand new ones. The kitchen will be getting brand new stainless steel appliances.

Given that you want to keep the oak cabinets as they are, here are some ideas:
- Remove the piece of wood above the sink and put in 3 recessed lights or 1-3 drop lights (#depends on size & style).
- change the center chandelier to something more modern & which resembles the style of the lights you add over the sink.
- black or almost- white countertops.
- for low cost update to backsplash, replace the diamond-shaped accents with small tiles or crushed-glass mosaic tile in a combination of colors that will complement whatever you choose for the walls, countertop, and which picks up the terrific brown floor tile (e.g. A little black, brown, and perhaps a cheery green if you chose green for the walls).

Oh and definitely get rid of the fake greenery. Very dated and it just collects dust :)
