Help - to keep or not to keep

This is my front lounge ceiling. Its sort of Aztec shabby chick or at least that my vision however the rest of the house is becoming sleek and modern. I thought of silver leafing it? To stand out with a chandelier in the centre .It would be nice to keep something original. It's just how to do it !? Any ideas are appreciated. What would you do ?

- 12 years agolast modified: 12 years agoIt's a beautiful feature, keep it! I'm not loving the contrast between the white details and the peach paint. A fresh coat of white paint on the entire ceiling will de-emphasize the design, but freshen it up a bit to help make it work with modern decor.
