OLLD 10/2

Good morning, everyone! It's a rainy Wednesday in E-town. What's on the agenda today? I'm having lunch later with my mom, but that's about it. Yesterday I painted the guest room wall so that's all done. Benjamin Moore Newburg Green -- the photo doesn't do it justice, it's a gorgeous colour!

    Thanks, Angela. Yep, a coral pillow (remember I added one in my great room and thought of you? lol) I think you and STK will be fighting over this room for sure!

    That colour is so rich... when I started painting I was kind of...uh oh... but after the second coat dried... wow... I was in love!

    @chrisybair -- thanks!

    Morning! Oh yeah, Angela, STK is pretty much there already, he just needs to bring his body over to join his mind. I think his studio is already set up in front if the windows. As long as he's going to chauffeur kimdee to the golf course and around the links, she will probably not care too much :)
    How is everyone?
    Great color kimdee, I've seen the swatch and it's lovely :)

    Great room...I love that deep rich color of bluish green! I have a green in my living room which is almost a teal...I like your color better!

    Michele, those horse pictures you posted on another thread -- I've been in love with those for months! Every time I see them, I want to run to Etsy and buy them. I just wish they were available in a larger size, seems to me biggest on is 8x10 ish. :(

    @Linda -- thanks... I still have 3/4 of a gallon left, and wondering what else I can paint! I would call this colour a blue teal.

    Yesterday I painted the spindles and the railings on one porch but I ran out of light (and ambition!) before I got the door casing and the porch pillars painted. I need to caulk the pillars before I paint them. Then, when that's done I need another coat of paint on the floor. But, the floor is an oil base so I have to go find a junk brush that I can toss instead of trying to clean it. I buy lots of old brushes at garage sales since that's cheaper and easier than cleaning the brush with thinner.

    I also have two doors that need another coat of paint, but I want to wait until we'll be working at that house all day because I can't shut the doors until the paint dries. I've been lucky that it has been good painting weather lately because I still have several items which need to be painted before the weather turns but I just haven't had the ambition lately to get them finished

    I don't mind painting, in fact, I kind of enjoy it. But I hate clean-up. It's shameful to admit, but I will toss a roller if I'm done with it, and not bother to wash it up, unless I plan on using it again with the same color in the next few days or something. So lazy and wasteful of me, I know. And even worse, a paint that cleans up with thinner. Ugh.

    Angela, they are books! There are four of them, some of my favorite titles, and each one is bound in a brilliant color.

    Kimdee, you are just the luckiest girl in the world, here's a picture and a link and she does a whole series of those horses, they're beautiful!!! Lots of custom sizes and you could even put a few together, gallery style :)
    I love having good things to share :)
