Wow, this is *exactly* the setup we are doing! How were you able to place the channel drain near the shower doors? My contractor says we can only install on the left or right side, which causes problems with the tile at the bottom of the tub not being level due to slope. Thanks so much!

The tile slopes up (above the rest of the finish floor height) from the drain toward the tub, so that when the shower is on, the water is draining toward the door. That way we didn't have to cut into the existing floor structure. We have a sweep on the door to keep water from flowing out into the room, but that is the minimal issue with this installation--some water that doesn't drop into the drain will get out into the room. Did you use a pre-formed shower pan liner with the slope already established or did your workers create the slope to the drain themselves? The website is awesome, but slightly technical for me. Thanks, I appreciate it. No, we didn't use a preformed liner--it's a custom shower pan, which as far as I know is the only way to work with these systems. Sounds like you could use an architect to work this for you! :-)

LOL, we do have an architect! The GC was saying he wanted to use a Schluter system that used a pre-formed pan (maybe I'm using the wrong terminology?) with the slope already in it, and he could only install it so the slope was toward the shower heads instead of parallel to the tub, as you installed in the picture. I like your design so much better, as it's also curbless and avoids the sloping tile issue at the base of the tub.
