Need help with Kitchen window and pantry door

need help with using wood trim around window over the sink. In one before pic there are two windows, I took out the large window and extended kitchen with nice island. Not sure about using wood trim around the window.

Can you post a more full-on view of the window?

I like what you have done, it looks like you are going for that modern look. Sometimes simple is the best and without seeing a direct shoot of the window it looks good the way it is.

You might use a new grass cloth window shade in a dark color to match your cabinets. This may solve your need for a darker element at the window.

If agree with Comwest. Leave it.

Leave it. Agree it needs a window treatment/roman shade. Those white blinds are not up to par with the rest of that gorgeous room. Exceptional Taste!

Angel18432, thanks for the input and we agree... We are shopping for chairs and Roman Shade, lighting is being updated soon and should complete the kitchen in 1 week! LOL. 2 Weeks! In the Spring we are looking at medium dark wood floors, hand-scrapped hickory, what do you think? And, above the cabinets on the back wall, still cannot decide paint color. Husband wants brown-copper???

Can you post an up close photo of the granite? This way we could give you paint color ideas.

I would not use anymore "brown" anything! It will be way too heavy looking.

Beautiful kitchen, leave the window as is. Enjoy your new kitchen.

I would keep the floors on the lighter side. You have very dark elements in the room already.

Beautiful re-do! In regards to the floor, I'd go medium toned. Not dark or light. Wall color should also be a bit on the med/light side, because you eliminated a window, you need light - otherwise your kitchen will look too cave like. Add jolts of color with accessories...your hubby likes copper brown, then how about some copper canisters? You've done a great job - congrats!! Here's some pics off google of different flooring with dark cabinets for a visual.

Sharon- how I you add different floors and wall colors to an existing photo? That is so cool, I definitely like the light floor the best.

How can I follow this progress? I'm new to Houz app and can't find any of my bookmarks :(

@sbrustein: These are separate pictures from google images of dark cabinets with dark, medium, light floor. This isn't the same kitchen in each pic.
@Siera - check your email from Houzz, they email you when someone makes a comment on a thread that you also commented on. Also check "YOUR HOUZZ" in the upper right, your threads go there too under discussions.
