Hi mindymoo834, a cream or neutral color sofa is quite versatile and you can pick a more fun area rug to add some punch to the room.

i agree with cream-white tones.corner sofa can also work. you should use roller blinds instead of these type of curtains. you may use brown leather butterfly chair too which i love :) some blue yellow white and grey would make the room be brighter and fresh :) but this is just me. so good luck :)

Since you have baseboard heat, you need to keep the furniture away from the walls - so a corner sectional is a bad idea.

I'd stick with a simple sofa and pair of chaIrs pulled towards the center of the room - and rather than cream upholstery, try bringing in some color as you already have an overwhelming amount of beige in there...

Do you have children or pets? If so, go with a cream colored leather that can be wiped down. There are some beautiful cream colored leather sectionals out there.

You need an awesome rug (check out IKEA for chic, cheap rugs that hold up surprisingly well) and either a taller piece of furniture or artwork to balance the windows on the large open wall to the right!

Cream would look nice, but as the owner of cream couches and 3 children, they get quite dirty. Leather is definitely the best way to go for easy cleaning. I think chairs and a sofa would look really nice in the space as opposed to a couch set. The odd number (2 chairs, 1 sofa) would complement the 3 windows. Cheers!

Medium shade of fabric sofa in a really warm neutral like camel or caramel - and this room needs some color. If you're a bolder person, try some red accent chairs, or orange/spice if you like it. If you're less bold, go green/blue. That soft palette works in almost any house. A sectional is not a good idea. Center your furniture. Think sofa table, armoire, or credenza along a wall with perhaps a big mirror and lamps above. You need some wall height to counter the windows. Drapes are good but unless you need no privacy, I'd put some woven wood shades underneath or wood blinds if you have a more traditional aesthetic. An area rug is needed to anchor the seating area in the middle of the room.
