Need Help With Dining Room

This is the dining room at my recently-purchased lake house. The current accent wall is a too-dark wallpaper. This room has very high ceilings and opens on two sides to the entryway and the kitchen/greatroom. The other walls are off-white. The furniture in this room is traditional/rustic. I am going for a casual, family friendly feel. Need suggestions on what to do with this wall. Also, suggestions on lighting are welcome.

I think the chandelier you have is quite nice for the space! Just spray paint it a light bronze color. All of it (except the candlesticks). How about replacing the wallpaper with a light green grass cloth wallpaper? With a hint of metallic would give a little shine/texture to the space. Or, you can just paint the wall flat, then do a stencil pattern in a high gloss finish with the same color.

I suggest removing the table cloth but I do think that colour would give the room a more casual feel. It would also lighten all the wood in the room. This type of ceiling fixture is an updated version of a more rustic chandelier. There seems to be a window.......some floor to ceiling curtains. These have a traditional print but the colours are much more updated.
