I want to update the front entry of our new (to us) house. In addition to some re-landscaping, to make things more symmetrical, I'd like to do something with the door. While a new door is not in the budget at this time, paint certainly is.

I'd like to go with black, but I'm not sure how far to take it. I think black on the door, sidelights, and top window would be too much. Should I paint just the door black, with the sidelights and top window white, like the trim on the rest of the home?
