Plan to replace 2 diseased birch trees with fruitless olive trees and the lawn with low-growing perennials and mulch. Was thinking of using stepping stones along driveway. Not sure what to use as a border around the perimeter of the yard. Perhaps catmint? Live in Salinas, CA.
