Love the beams leading into family room. We're being told we can create that look by "wrapping" a structural beam with recovered wood or wood made to look like barn beams in plank form, etc.
Any thoughts on that?
I assume those beams used are real vs. wrapped.

Yes, in this home we did use reclaimed beams.. On other projects, we have wrapped structural support with reclaimed beams by removing material from the center of the reclaimed beam leaving 2"-3" of the reclaimed beam on 3 sides creating a "U" which then encases the structural support. No mitered outside corners that will open up later. Enjoy building your new home!
