Yes. Plus there's a view straight into the living room via the window from outside.

What a pretty kitchen. I love your chickens! You can treat each window individually, treat it as one large window attaching the rod to the wall over the brick, or you can use a cable system to hang short drapes that fit inside the bay. I think 3 separate roman shades, blinds or shutters mounted outside each window would look nice. Some ideas....

I'm liking the bamboo blinds and think they'd look great but raising and lowering 3 separate blinds every morning and night would get old.
How about one of the flexible transverse curtain rods? They'd have to stack on the outer edges of the windows, but one yank and they're opened or closed.

How about the bottom up blinds. .? Then you can leave them half way up and not have to adjust them.......

Many good suggestions have been made. Another idea: Modern cafe curtains? Using the same principle as Lampert posted, but bamboo matchstick blinds cut to size and up to a certain level on the window. This would allow light in but would not block out all the light in the upper area?
