I know you said you can't change furniture placement but is it possible to caddy corner the crib? It looks a bit awkward on the left side near the window.

I think hanging two (or even three) of your cute same size prints would look good hanging above the change table. Now, they are sort of grouped in a corner.

Depending on how long you plan to have the baby in there you could wait? We had neutral major pieces because we did not find out our daughters sex until she was here. Then when she was born I had kind of decided on boy and girl stuff. We just went out and added some pops of pink so it was more girl. If she had been a boy I had planed to add green. We had yellow and aqua as our base.

I also love the decals! We di that in our daughters room and it instantly makes such a difference. You can find quote ones at any budget

To build off darzy's suggestions, if you relocate the prints to above the changing table you could do a decal in the corner where they currently are. I like this idea where they put a tree in the corner with shelves to create a reading nook

@sam0705 @darzy I was planning on getting a corner bookcase from pottery barn for under the 4 pictures. I need space to put a lamp on. I was thinking of a mirror above changing table and the baby's name above crib. I loved the tree idea but I'm worried it'd be to busy bc the room is tiny. Do u think I should relocate the other 2 pictures on each side of the window? What do u think about white polka dots on changing table wall with shelving? Or vertical white stripes?

I don't think vertical white stripes or polka dots would pop much on your wall color. How about teal dots or a horizontal stripe around the room? I'm not a fan of baby names on the wall as it's been used too much and not that creative IMHO. Plus, the crib overlapping the window will make the name off center with the wall and crib.

For some reason my phone is cutting off the pics when I enlarge them but if I am seeing accurately I think I would relocate the pics flanking the window. The one to the right also looks to high. I would try the larger giraffe pic where that one is near the chair and hang it lower.
Is the caddy corner possible? If you like the tree idea you could put it in the corner behind the bed and then do the corner shelves with your other prints as planned.

How about a large horizontal stripe (in the teal) surrounding the room? Position the stripe so the art is centered with the stripe. Here is SOMEwhat like I mean, only position the stripe so the art fits nicely, and in your accent color.

@darzy great point about the name off center thanks. @sam0705 the crib is to big to caddy corner I tried. If its a boy i was going to bring in a little green if its a girl coral. Maybe I could save the horizontal stripe for that color? To many options! Lol I want to do someone on the crib wall it's so blahhh and I need a mirror in the room so I figured above the changing table centered

@darzy do u think the stripe that large all around the entire room would make it seem smaller? I feel like I'm over killing the accent color.

I'm feeling your concern about the stripe. It would have to be the right width. But, I think vertical stripe(s) would not be better.

I would think wall decals... clean out any un-used items...don't want it to look like a baby storage room. good luck.

For safety, according to the American Association of Pediatricians, no pillow in the crib and nothing within reach of the baby (ie wall hangings, blinds, pull cords for the blinds). Better to be safe.

I like darzy's suggestions (as always :) but I also like the tone on tone idea you had originally to use white (or a diluted version of the current wall color) for stripes or polka dots.

To be honest, I wouldn't invest that much or money in designing a room for an infant. I brought 2 kids home to well decked out nurseries, and their rooms changed within 2-3 years, then every 4-5 years after that. I'm not saying it doesn't matter, because it does. What I am saying is that you have created an adorable space already and you don't need to stress out over something "more better" (poor grammar intended). You also will be adding things later because you want to change due to not knowing the sex of the baby yet.

I would probably find a rug if you don't have one. But I'd go neutral, maybe 5 x 8, to warm the room a bit.

Yellows, lavender, light blues, pale greens are always good for gender-neutral rooms. My daughter's room had a lot of light blues and yellows because I did a Peter Rabbit theme. I used prints from all of Beatrix Potter's stories as wall decor, but Peter got the highlight through bedding, a toy box decal, and a nursery lamp. The fitted sheet in the crib was switched between Peter Rabbit print, plain yellow, and blue (Oh, the laundry I had to do. LOL!) The curtains were just white sheers (we had blinds that looked nice), and we had a little table next to the crib that had the lamp and baby monitor on it. The table cloth for that was yellow with a large white doily on top. Use your fabrics wisely and try to chose things that will "grow" with your child. I got rid of Peter Rabbit as my baby grew into a toddler, but the fabrics I used on the window and bedside table didn't need changing with the butterfly theme she chose for her new big-girl bed. Now, she's almost 12 and has animal print everywhere. My vet-in-training.

I would also place the pictures above the changing table as it will create more visual interest for your baby when you're changing his/her diaper (gives her something to look at and distract herself with). Also if you put a lamp in that other corner with the mirror there, it will still help light bounce around the room... Maybe not as much as on the opposite wall, but nurseries shouldn't be too bright anyways. We chose to keep our sons room a bit void of light besides what comes in naturally from the windows (which are facing a lake) and it works perfectly during the day when I need to put him down for a nap but maybe run in there for something with turning a light on or with nursing him at night. We have one small lamp in the far distance of the room that doesn't produce too much light, and we think it is perfect :)

Is it too late to paint the walls (canary yellow, or light green)? Simply giving the walls some color would make a drastic difference. If its too late try putting up some pom pom curtains with a pop of color either with the pom poms or the curtain color. And a wall bunting above the crib in the green color that you have in some of your prints.

Black and white always brings a room to life. You have a lot of empty wall space if you could find one large black and white picture to put above the changing table and incorporate a little black and white throughout the room like a frame of your ultra sound picture and the baby's inital etc it would look great.

Before you do anything else... PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make sure you replace that blind with a cordless shade. Babies and cords don't mix.

I'm curious too about furniture placement. Is it possible to move the changing table between the door and the closet? Or eliminate changing table all together and go with a nice tall dresser there for better storage. I know I'm off topic. I struggled a lot with our small rooms and fitting baby/kid furniture etc. in rooms. We ended up eliminating the changing table(which was never used) and have used the same mini crib with all three of our kids. Huge space saver to use space saving furniture based on the room size & storage needs. Once I got over the original itch of thinking you have to use kid furniture in a kids room, fitting it all in was a lot easier. :)

On the right subject. Wild and precious design co. Has a great point about black to accent and make everything pop in a room. Black accents would really look nice no matter what colors you choose.
