My fiancé and I plan on building a log home in the future and I would like to start the planning process early. I have a fear of growing tired of living in a cabin, as my mother-in-law has shared her frustration on that matter after years of living in a log home. I am looking for ways to modernize, such as incorporating glass, metal, and stone to distract from the logs. However I am having trouble finding plans that avoid the cabin-type atmosphere. Any suggestions of where to look for modern log home plans?
