Hi Everyone, I'd like your input on my kitchen selections. I fell in love with Rainforest Green Marble for the backsplash for my kitchen. I love that it is so bold and rich. Because it is such a bold pattern I want to keep the counters a muted color in a black tone. I initially thought about Uba Tuba granite, but then I have seen some pictures with Uba Tuba showing a busy pattern and it might be too much with the Rainforest Green. I really would love a black granite with a sparkle in it when the light hits it like Black Galaxy, but my builder has that granite in group 5. To keep costs down, I am looking at granite in group 2: Uba Tuba or Black Pearl and group 3: Absolute Black.

My cabinets will be Shaker style, the New Haven by Timberlake, in either Mocha Glaze or Coffee Glaze. My appliances will be black (I've had SS for the past 8 years, ready for a change). Faucet will be oil rubbed bronze. Not sure if I will do the hardware in oil rubbed bronze or in brushed nickel. All the lights in the house will be brushed nickel. I don't mind mixing metals as my style is eclectic.
