Need help with handrail stain

I am building new home with Brazilian cherry wide plank floors. What color do I stain use on my handrail? Must I go with cherry too, or can I go darker?

Lighter is contemporary and darker would be more traditional. You could do a clear for a lighter tone

Ideally Brazilian Cherry handrails but these are difficult to find and very expensive. Had great success at our last house using hard maple with a pure black aniline dye then an ebony stain then finished with poly to match the gloss level of the floors, once the floors darkened (6 mos) the handrail looked great with the Brazilian Cherry
