We installed the, in our master bath addition at our old house and loved them. We did had levelors and they were very easy to use and the kids could use them easier also

I have some that work great on a couple of french doors.

In what kind of setting are you planning to use them in? in a Bathroom, Livingroom Bedroom? I would not use them in very tall windows where you can't reach the top to pull down the shades. Unless, you want to use some kind of extension pole with a hook to pull them down. Does that make sense? Generally speaking they work great just about anyplace you install them. For Child safety they are the best! HunterDouglas would be my top recommendation

Living room. I'm short so I always have a step stool in a corner! :-) my husband will be able to reach though.

There are some that are both top/bottom down. Those are nice as you can leave top of window uncovered (for light and view of tree tops) while still getting the privacy from having them cover the bottom portion of the window (and protect floor/furniture from sun damage).
