Paint help please!!!!!

We are purchasing a house and will be remodeling. I need paint suggestions! When you walk in the front door you can see the formal living, formal dining and family room at the same time. ( will include pic). We will be replacing tile with wood floor. Kitchen will have Dover white cabinets ( unless you think that's a bad idea!). Black honed granite, farmhouse sink. I was thinking of using something similar to BM tranquility in the kitchen. I really love this color. Would it be too much to have this in the formal living and dining as well? Then a neutral beige in the family room? I am open to all suggestions on colors. You might just change my mind!!! What would you do?

Gorgeous home! I took a look at BM tranquility. It is a beautiful color. Looking at it, it seems to have blue undertones. I think with your wood floor, it is going to have a slightyly blue cast. Just so you know.

I have never used SW Perfect Greige, but I have used with success a similar color, Behr Perfect Taupe. It will go with your floors very well.

Looking at the house, I would paint the living room and dining room one color. Then, the family room (I assume that is straight to the back), I would paint a different color.

If the kitchen is open to the family room, I would paint kitchen and fr the same color.

Another color I have used with success is BM Revere Pewter. It is lighter than the Perfect Taupe.

I love Perfect Greige by Sherwin Williams or one step down Versatile Gray. The bedroom photo shown with PG. I use this color a lot because it blends well with most accent colors.

Thanks guys! I am liking the blue gray colors! I just didn't know if it would be too much or if I should go with something more neutral. You cannot see my kitchen from the family room. You can slightly see my breakfast area. Thanks again!

I think the original plan that you posted with tranquility in lr, dr and kitchen and a more neutral beige in fr will be great.

Cdrdesign, thank you so much for your help!!!! I looked at a my realtors daughters house to buy and loved the colors of her wall. I asked him today what color it was and guess what! Revere pewter! Where whould you use this color and what color would you put in the other rooms?

The more I look at your house and how open it is, I don't think that it is going to make much difference in the colors if you paint different rooms different colors. Revere Pewter sometimes can look a little greenish and it could end up looking not good with the Tranquility.

I would consider painting lr, dr, hall, fr and kitchen all one color. Then, rooms that are more closed off you could paint alternated neutrals.

So, I would paint a couple of pieces of drywall your finalist colors, bring them to the home and see which ones you like.
